For the past four seasons, BTBounds and Nitro have teamed up for a community ride day. It started at Brighton Resort in Utah in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, we returned to our roots at Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire (we’ll still be at Loon annually, too!). Every year now, we get together to snowboard in a new region. This January, we’re going to Trollhaugen, Wisconsin for our first Midwest BTBounds event!
Trollhaugen is one of our favorite places. Just a short drive outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul, this humble hill boasts some of the most beloved park riding in the world. You’ve probably seen locals and pros (and local pros) lapping Troll’s infamous Valhalla park, though Troll is also well-known for Tomte, Valgrind, and The Summit—parks that offer something for everyone and all levels. And there’s plenty of rippable trails, too, if you don’t feel like riding rails and jumps. It is a resort with plenty of flow, from its trails and side hits to its park lines.
This ride day is a community gathering to ride the way you’d like to ride and isn’t park-specific. While there will be park laps for those interested, trail riding will be going on all day, too!
Here’s what to expect during the BTBounds x Nitro Ride Day:
- Snowboarding with the BTBounds coaches and crew!
- Comfortable and casual riding environment for learning new things, meeting like-minded ladies, and shredding Loon Mountain Resort
- This Ride Day is not park-specific. If you would like to ride park, there will be opportunity to do that and if you would prefer not to ride in the park, that’s fine, too! We will have groups doing both. We’ll be riding the whole mountain.
- If you are interested in riding in the park, NO park experience is necessary to attend. the Ride Day is ideal for freestyle beginners as well as expert park rats.
- We will utilize existing park and do plenty of trail tricks. The riding won’t be as structured as weekend-long camps, but there will be a focus on trying new things and coaches are there to provide tips and advice for new tricks, whether in the park or on the trails.
- Plenty of laps as we take over the trails with a group of ripping women! (We ask that you are confident linking turns on blue trails in order to attend—hit us up with any questions at info@btbounds.com.)
